Recently we have talked with both Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Belden to find out just what exactly goes on in the business office. Both Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Belden are graduates of Edmeston Central School and have been working in the Business Office for close to 35 years. Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Belden are both dedicated people who are willing to help anybody and everybody. They manage the school funds including Food Service, Transportation, and Maintenance. Both Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Belden are responsible for collecting taxes and handling the payroll for Faculty and Staff. Both of them are also responsible for ordering supplies for the school when in need of more. Both Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Belden are responsible for handling the benefits for current employees and retirees and handling the accounts receivable and payable. They also help transportation and maintenance in ordering supplies when needed. One thing that amazed us when we interviewed them both was that they have to work all summer and on snow days. Most of all both Mrs. Belden and Mrs. Bowen are dedicated people who love their jobs and love to help people when in need. |
