Director of Special Education

Dear Edmeston Families,

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.  My name is Pam Grimm and I am the Director of Special Education for the Edmeston Central School District.  I relocated to Oneonta, NY, from Colorado in 2012 for my husband’s job and the opportunity to live near my family again.  I was born and raised in Sayre, PA, and Edmeston fondly reminds me of my hometown.  I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in English from Nazareth College of Rochester and started teaching in North Carolina upon graduation.  I continued my education at Appalachian State University in North Carolina where I earned my Master’s Degree in Special Education.  Throughout my tenure of teaching I have been a middle school Language Arts teacher, middle and high school Special Education teacher, and served in various leadership roles including RTI and PBIS.  I recently completed the Educational Ledaership Program at Niagara University and now hold my School Building Leader and School District Leader Certifications in NY State.

During my time at Edmeston, I have enjoyed working with the entire staff in my roles as CSE/CPSE Chair, 504 Compliance Office, RTI Chair, and PBIS Co-chair.  My main goal in all I do is to make certain each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential while at ECS.  Parents know their children better than anyone and I am open to any suggestions, advice, or ideas you may have for me regarding your child too.  You can contact me by calling the school at 607-965-8931 or by sending an email to pgrimm@edmeston.net.

I am looking forward to another fantastic year at ECS and am excited about all we will accomplish together in the upcoming school year!

Pam Grimm
